In case you missed this a few weeks ago, an Iranian expatriate named Amir Taheri wrote an op-ed peice in the Canadian National Post that said Iran was passing a law requiring religious minorities to wear badges to identify themselves.

Taheri said that Jews would be identified by yellow badges. Jews were required to wear yellow badges in Nazi Germany.

Turns out, the story is false. Experts say report of badges for Jews in Iran is untrue.

Shorty after the story is broadcast and debunked what does Bush have to say about? He invites Taheri to the White House for advice on the administration’s Iran policy.

Here we go again. Director of the CIA Porter Goss is alleging a link between Al Queda and Iran.

German intelligence had confirmed that WE’VE ALREADY GIVEN TURKEY THE GREEN LIGHT TO ATTACK THE PKK (Kurdish seperatists in Iran.)

PKK = Partiya Karkeren Kurdistan.

“The Europeans have been urging the Bush Administration to join in these negotiations. The Administration has refused to do so. The civilian leadership in the Pentagon has argued that no diplomatic progress on the Iranian nuclear threat will take place unless there is a credible threat of military action. “The neocons say negotiations are a bad deal,” a senior official of the International Atomic Energy Agency (I.A.E.A.) told me. “And the only thing the Iranians understand is pressure. And that they also need to be whacked.””

I think there’s a few questions to be asked, and a few points to remember.

1) We now know that the Bush administration was building a case to occupy Iraq when there was no case to be built. They Bush administration was the ONLY entity that believed (or wanted the American public to believe) that Iraq was a threat.

1a) What about Britain? Read the Downing Street Memo and ask that question again.

1b) But didn’t the CIA said there was WMDs? Oh Really

1c) But the connection to Al Queda? I’m not going to bother refuting that one. The only person who EVER said that was Dick Cheney. In between threatening the public about TerroR.

2) The Bush administration appears to be doing the same in Iran. But this time without the CIA.

3) There are no known PKK installations in northern Iran. (The specious reasoning is already coming to the surface)

4) Is there a plan for US backed Kurdistan? What would that do to secure Iran, AND more importantly - Iraq. (Does this situation remove the entire north of Iraq from the conflict?)
See the next post for more on this.
